MEAD
Me on Mead
Mead, also known as honey wine, is one of my favorite alcoholic beverages. It’s not really wine at all, and is more closely related to flat honey beer, but is classified as another kind of alcohol. I don’t know wine and though I like some wines I find many of them bitter or unfulfilling. Sweet or dry I find mead more appealing than wine.
Mead Tasting
I have even hosted a mead tasting; MEad First was Friday August the 15th 2006, the same weekend as a local gaming event. We didn’t really know what to expect or how to have a tasting, but we had fun. I hope to have another tasting, but this time with review slips for folks to fill out, and an even greater variety of mead producers. Check out my review of the event.

I’ve also created some links and reviews and links for meaderies that I have had samples from. Many of these were generated from MEad First, and others were from the 06-07 New Years Eve party, and some were just from tastings I’ve done from my own liquor cabinet.
